You can couple the trip with sight-seeing and a Quad-bike safari en-route or on the way back.

Itinerary
A driver/guide will pick you from your hotel in Kampala/ home or from an appointed public place at 9.00am to commence the drive to Jinja. Your first stop is Ssezibwa Falls a cultural heritage site of the Baganda people (Ugandas largest tribe) that is rich with traditional folklore as shall be narrated by the site guide! The falls are located 32 Km along the Kampala- Jinja highway. It is one of Ugandas hidden cultural treasures with one part owned by Buganda Kingdom and another by the Anglican Church of Uganda. Other than their cultural significance, the falls are quite spectacular, surrounded by beautiful lush scenery. The site offers beautiful views of waterfalls marked with sharp-edged rocks and splendid sound of waters flowing down the indented rocks. The Ssezibwa Falls are 7 meters high with beautiful scenery for relaxation and enjoyment as birds sing in the trees. There are plenty of birds and some wildlife such as monkeys that may be sighted in the nearby forest. Spend roughly an hour exploring these serene grounds before returning to the highway. Your next stop is Mabira Forest Griffin Falls Camp for a zip-lining experience. The Mabira Forest Canopy Super Skyway is a canopy zip-line system that sends you soaring between the tallest trees in the rainforest. You are led to pass through ancient trees by experienced Sky Captains / Sky guides across a network of 5 zip-lines that stretches 250 metres across River Musamya. Using strict international safety standards with imported climbing gears and art high ropes from America, participants are belayed up the first tree, brought through the whole system and repelled on a 78m diagonal zip. High up in the canopy one is able to enjoy a view of the forest layers, mammals like grey cheeked Mangabeys and red tailed monkeys, birds like palm nut vultures, African fish eagles, great blue turacos and the roaring griffin falls, making your zip a memorable day! After your time at Griffin Camp, return to the road and drive to Jinja town. On arrival in Jinja, head to the Jinja Sailing Club for lunch. After lunch, you head to WildWaters Lodge. Your driver/guide will drop you off at the lodge jetty from where you will transfer to the lodge.

Located on roughly six hectares on Kalagala Island, Wildwaters Lodge lies on a unique private island mid-stream within the mighty River Nile in Uganda: around 25km downstream from Jinja. Its in a sublime location and only reached by boat which makes it a very adventurous place to stay. It is uniquely perched on granite rocks with dramatic and exciting rapids roaring all around. The lodge offer a relaxing and intimate location for honeymooners and couples looking for some quiet time. The sounds of the mighty river Nile are quite hypnotic and calming so the lodge offers an experience for all the senses. And for posting on Facebook or Instagram, nothing beats the views all around the lodge. Today, you can indulge in the ultimate relaxation with the lodges spa treatments. Your stay includes all meals, hose drinks, Wi-Fi and more.

Wake up at leisure and enjoy your breakfast. At 10.00am, you will head to the Bujjagali area for a 2-hour Quad bike safari experience along trails that have been developed beside the young Nile. The quad bike safari is a fun and adrenaline-rising activity so you are sure to enjoy it. From your quad bike experience, return to the Jinja town centre and you can spend some time shopping for crafts at the top of Jinja Main Street. At leisure, you will commence the drive back to Kampala arriving back in the early evening. Your driver/guide will drop you off at your hotel in Kampala. Alternatively: Jinja is an adventure destination and you can chose an alternative activity besides quad biking. Other activities to choose from include a white water rafting expedition, horse-back safaris, bungee jumping, Tubing on the Nile among many others.
